Azita Ghanizada

Azita A. Ghanizada (born in Afghanistan) is an Afghan American Actress in the United States. She has participated in numerous TV shows. Her birthplace was in Kabul, Afghan. Her parents fled to the US and were given asylum. She was brought up to a young age in Northern Virginia and is the second child in a family with two older sisters. Ghanizada's on-air camera career by being featured in numerous National Commercials. Ghanizada starred as Chiara in the Laura Neri's film A Kiss on the Nose (2003). In recognition of the performance, she received a nomination during the Festival of Cannes for Best Actress. Her television credits are How I Met Your Mother Entourage Veronica Mars NUMB3RS The Wedding Bells NUMB3RS Psych and Castle. She most recently played a supporting character in Blood Shot (2009). In addition, she appeared as an independent comedian in You Only Better 2009. Ghanizada was first noticed in 2008 when she joined the cast for General Hospital. She was cast in the General Hospital spin-off General Hospital. Season 2 of Nightshift saw Ghanizada portray Dr. Saira Bhatra, a physician who is a specialist in holistic medical practices.
